About the Role
• Attends 75% of National Advisory Board meetings and important related meetings held of the first Saturday of every month for an hour.
• Makes a commitment to participate actively in 1 current committee. Collaborates with committee members and builds a collegial working relationship that contributes to Clearpath Discovery mission
• Stays informed about committee matters, prepares for meetings, and reviews.
• Represents a segment of the population to ensure that all perspectives are included.
• Enlists financial support of $XXX either through organizations, grants, event sponsorships, ticket sales, or
individual donations.
• Actively participant in providing current knowledge and guidance to the organization's leadership team.
This includes connecting the organization with key decision-makers and industry influencers.
• Makes a two (2) year commitment
Requirements
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor Degree in Education, Marketing, Political Science, Business, Health, Law, IT, and four years or more of related experience required. May give credit towards years of experience if attained a degree higher than a Bachelor Degree. Nonprofit experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of administering career-based programs, writing and evaluating career development curriculum, marketing, ability to use a laptop computer and the internet; public speaking, above average writing skills, and the ability to facilitate workshops and teach small and large groups.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel.
• Personal Characteristics: An effective self-starter with an extensive background in research and presentation, who can perform independently with a clear, precise, and compelling writing skills.
About the Company
Clearpath Discovery is seeking a well-organized, effective individual that can serve as a strategic advisor providing objective advice, insight or recommendations to the organization overall decision-making process. As a National Board Advisor, your role will rely on analyzing the internal affairs of a business, how it relates to the overall goals, and suggesting ways to improve on it. This particular role will be someone who has an outgoing personality, responsible, and advocates for the purpose of meeting students that don’t have a career plan for life after graduation from high school. This position will report to the Chair of the National Advisory Board for Clearpath Discovery.
