Clearpath Discovery Salutes Ms. Rai Cole

Ms. Rai Cole is a native of Los Angeles, California where she was born in August of 1945 to the parents Raymond & Erma Cole. She had no siblings being the only child young at heart. She has 1 daughter and 2 granddaughters.
She is a graduate of Booker T. Washington high school right here in Dallas, TX. Where she went on to get her Bachelor’s degree at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin Texas. She also has post graduate studies from El Centro College, UTA, and Bishop College. In addition, a certification in Conflict Dispute Mediation.
Her first job was as a Lab Technician for Southwest Center For Advance Studies at the University of Texas Research Center.
In 1976 Rai started teaching school in Dallas Independent School District as a Science Teacher at John B. Hood Middle School. She later moved on to T.W. Browne Middle School and then her final school in Dallas Independent School District Justin F. Kimball High School. She is a woman of God, Lifetime Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., 2021 Ambassador of Tomorrow Recipient, member of African American Education Archives & History Program, and over 40 years of education and giving her heart to helping others succeed.
Even today Ms. Rai Cole started a program through Desoto High School and Principal Jasen Campbell called TEACH Project AAEAHP. Where she works with high school students interested in becoming future teachers of America.
