Finding a Careeer Path is an exciting journey, but like many decisions, it comes with challenges. Mistakes are a natural part of learning, but avoiding common pitfalls can save you time and frustration. Here are the top mistakes Dreamchazer make when making decisions on their career paths and how to resolve them:
1. Hanging with the wrong crowd. (Influencers)
As the saying goes "If it looks like duck, quack like duck, it must be duck". What does that mean in simple terms. If you hang around people that are losers, not going anywhere in their life, and just clearly want to do bad things. Then you are more than likely to follow the same bad habits and decisions made. How do you change that? Answer: Change your friends.....or even better join clubs at school. Get in a group that has value and interest like the Toastmaster Club. Surround yourself with positive people that are ambitious and knows what they want to do with their lives. It is better to have 2 - 3 good quality friends. Then 10 bad apples just rotten from the core looking for trouble.
2. Do you have a vision. Write down your career goals
Without a vision the people shall parrish. Write the vision and make it plain and simple. All Dreamchazers should have at least 10 career goals they would like to accomplish. Five should be short -term goals on what you as a person want to accomplish this year. And then 5 long-term goals on what you would like to see in the next 5 - 10 years from now. We teach all Dreamchazers to write down their goals and place them in a picture frame so they can always see their goals every day.
3. No Confidence
Understanding the fundamentals of finding the right career starts within a person. Avoid the "What Ifs" and focuse solely on "I Am". I am great. I am confident in anything I put my mind to. I am strong, powerful, amazing, dedicated, and on my way to a great destiny. Don't let negative words or even people distract you from your purpose of doing good things in life. 4. Being Afraid of Asking
Fear of speaking up or just being unsure can halt progress in finding the right career. There is no right or wrong answer to finding the right career. ButStudents need to be encourage to seek the answers they need in order to move forward. Remember, the greatest conversation students can have is with their peers rather than the one inside. 5. Not doing your research
Did you know at the age 17, students can receive their pilots license? Did you also know, according to Edison&Black.com, AI could lead to the creation of around 97 milion new jobs by 2025.
